TAW USES ONLY TEFC MOTORS.
TEFC motors are quieter, smoother and prevent insect nests in a warm motor. TEFC motors have less dust/dirt entry or water intrusion.
TAW USES ONLY WATER PROOF DRIVES.
Water proof drives eliminates the need of a bulky, expensive control cabinet.
TAW HAS NO EXTERNAL FANS OR FILTERS.
Maintaining filters is everyones weakness. After 6 months of neglect the filters plug making the drives, PLC and HMI fail.
TAW has fan(s) in each VFD that comes on to convect the internal VFD heat at 40 degrees C. They do not run all the time, saving fan life.
TAW DRIVES ARE RATED AT 50 DEGREES C.
Most competitors drives are rated at 40 degrees C. Mean Time Before Failure (MTBF) typically doubles with every degree over this rating.
TAW USES ONLY VFD RATED CHECK VALVES.
Standard check valves will “chatter” and be noisy when a VFD goes to low flow conditions, causing noise, premature wear, and eventual failure. A TAW VFD rated check valve is designed to minimize flow losses and hydraulic shocks in the pumping system. It features an unleaded alloy body available in sizes 1”, 2”, 3” and 4” threaded Female NPT connection. An exclusive guided poppet system (stainless steel in 2” thru 4”), ensures that the
valve automatically adjusts noiselessly from high to very low flow rates. The radiuses of the valve seat allow a self-cleaning “one point swiping action” by the radius-edged custom molded rubber seal disc. All internal parts are made from corrosion-resistant materials and have a durable high strength design. The valve can be uniquely installed in either horizontal or vertical piping installations.
ANODIZED ALUMINUM FRAMES.
They are lighter, more corrosion resistant, stronger and better looking. Our frames can be totally disassembled and put back together in the field.
None of this is true with a welded steel frame.
CAST STAINLESS HEADERS .
Spring a leak in our header and the individual component can be replaced. Unlike welded extruded headers that must be replaced. Cast stainless header walls are thicker than extruded making them quieter. Water velocities of 8 Ft/Sec will sound like 4 Ft/Sec in an extruded header.
NO PLC, COMMUNICATION, WIRING OR HMI.
These components are prone to heat problems and failure. TAW systems do not rely on serial or IP communications.
Our drives communicate with hard I/0. The most reliable & fastest method of drive control.
4-20MA PRESSURE TRANSDUCERS, ONE PER VFD.
4-20MA is more noise immune than 0-10VDC transducers plus monitoring a transducer failure is more reliable if the signal falls below 4 MA.
We use one transducer per drive for true redundancy.
BALL VALVES WITH INTEGRAL UNIONS.
We allow you to quickly disconnect our headers with a union tied to the output of our ball valve standard.
PRESSURE GAUGES IN & OUT STANDARD.
In addition to the setpoint and actual pressure display alternating every 2 seconds on a high contrast OLED VFD screen, we provide mechanical verification of pressure.
